This documentary was filmed on the beautiful Mentawai Islands (Indonesia) and is devoted to local tribes who manage to survive in the seemingly impenetrable tropical jungle. A jungle, in which the average 'civilized' person, would survive but a few hours. Members of the expedition of the Unknown Planet not only lived there for several weeks but also made this documentary about a tribe, most likely to vanish in the near future. This is a real travel in time…

The route was difficult – we employed elephants to penetrate the virgin jungle forests and tropical bogs, and wooden rafts to travel by unspoiled and unnamed rivers. The tribes that live here have existed untouched for hundreds of years. They eat monkeys, hunt for crocodiles, and gather poisonous spiders…
